Leave No Paws Behind, Inc. (LNPB) is an all-breed animal rescue, specializing in seniors, terminal and special needs shelter pets providing hospice care, comfort, love and safe haven for terminally ill, and grave rescue cases and adoption to forever loving homes, when possible. LNPB’s newest program, the “People, Helping People, Helping Paws” Low-Cost Veterinary Hospital serves under-resourced communities to ensure pets stay with their families and out of shelters.
The loan proceeds will be used to replace a short term debt and provide working capital for program expansion and to hire 1-2 new additional support staff.
The loan will be repaid through program service revenue, grants, individual donations, major gifts and social media fundraisers.
With the ongoing veterinary shortage crisis – due to lack of both availability and affordability – Leave No Paws Behind has become a bridge by providing increased services and expanding while continuing to provide excellent medical care at low cost. The rising cost of ongoing medical care for pets and their caregivers has put an enormous strain on under-resourced families. The Leave No Paws Behind program, “People, Helping People, Helping Paws Low-Cost Veterinary Hospital” continues to grow and expand in an effort to fulfill the growing need.
Since inception, the hospital program has helped over 10,000 families. In addition to their current Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), LNPB will be onboarding 1-2 additional DVMs and support staff, thereby potentially doubling or tripling their service impact.
