Genesis Metro Church began in the hearts and minds of Tim & Carrie Bourne in the summer of 2002. By faith, they moved their family to Frisco, Texas, with the dream of building a church that valued people in such a way that lives would be changed.
Every organization, be it secular or religious, has a vision. This vision helps evaluate progress. It provides direction for decisions. It anchors our aim during uncertain times. Here at Genesis Metro Church (GM), we believe God’s Word is alive and active and pushes us all to life change.
Use of Proceeds: Fishing Program Expansion
The church has an opportunity to grow in our ministries with the expansion of a fishing program that has been found to be very successful. We are cultivating meaningful and lasting relationships with fathers and sons, as well as with men and young men in the community.
Our youth need something other than electronic devices to connect with. Fathers need opportunities to connect and create life-long memories with their sons. We have been blessed to see this happen over and over again. Time on a boat fishing allows us to draw very distinct spiritual ties.
The fishing program has been supported for years with the generous donations of boat usage from community members. For the church to be able to purchase and own a boat, scheduling would be much more flexible, allowing us to have a far greater impact in our community and for the Kingdom of Christ.
