Who They Are: Irvine International Academy

Irvine International Academy (IIA) is a public charter school serving Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade students. IIA provides a bilingual and biliterate education that promotes high academic achievement and cultivates students’ social emotional intelligence and curiosity, equipping them with 21st century learning skills to thrive in our dynamic global society. It is a  tuition-free, premier Mandarin/English Immersion + Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) school in Irvine. They also offer a full day kindergarden and free meals for all students.

Program Overview

The charter school’s educational model integrates Mandarin language immersion and a State Standards-aligned curriculum that incorporates “STEAM” (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) ensuring that their students are prepared to excel and prosper in the 21st century.

 

The school’s vision is to create an innovative learning environment to prepare their students to be lifelong learners and engaged global citizens.

Use of Proceeds & Repayment

The proceeds from this loan will be used for working capital to fund school programs and staffing.

 

This loan will be repaid by State and Federal revenue received in the Spring of 2025.

Why Support this Program

IIA has grown by over 100 students per year in the past two years. Students come from all over Orange County including Irvine, Tustin, Orange, Lake Forest and Long Beach. As a public charter school, the majority of their funding does not come until the Spring. This loan will provide working capital so that they can continue to provide high quality educational programs for their students.
